Makes me tired and boring. I've been working a lot for everyone going on vacation so tomorrow will be my only day off this week. Thank goodness you don't get mail on Sundays, I might not have a day off if we did. The next 2 weeks, also I work everyday except Sunday and the 4th of course. I like having this job, but I don't like getting up at 5:15. Plus, the last couple days have been nothing but drama. Sometimes I can't stand small towns.
Since I was hired to work for everyone when they go on vacation, we were not able to go to the Ledbetter reunion this year. Pretty disappointing, but I hope everyone that could make it has a blast!
Yesterday one of the rural carriers retired. We had a surprise retirement party for her. I've only been there 2 months but she grows on you quick. Pretty sure I'll miss her.
Since Marty and I both have tomorrow off, we're taking the kids to the air show in Battle Creek. The USAF blue angels will be doing a show and it looks like there will be quite a bit for kids to do there. I think it'll be a good day.
I was able to get the house cleaned this morning between my Saturday shifts, but now it's about lunch time so I need to figure out lunch for the kids.

Summer fun!
We've been so busy since my last post. Marty's birthday, Danielle's graduation and just fun!
June 1st was Marty's 27th birthday. I think he enjoyed it. He had to work on his birthday so he got his gift then but we had his big birthday dinner on Sunday. The kids and I got him a drill for his birthday. He broke the charger from his last one. For his dinner he wanted cheesy potatoes and burgers. Not healthy what do ever but it was so good.
On one day Marty's mom watched Cameron and I was able to take Mackenzie to the children's museum. Their theme was back to school with buses and letters and numbers. So many of her favorite things. She was so disappointed when we left but I didn't have anymore change for parking. We will be going back for sure.
Danielle graduated last week, yay!!! The kids and I went to the ceremony and they were able to go to the party. I had to work during the party but I was there for dinner afterwards. The kids were great at both!
Today there was an early childhood carnival. What a blast! Free lunch, bounce houses, face painting, police cars, fire trucks and a magic show!
Tonight the kids are staying at Papa and GG's so I can work tomorrow. The plan is to finish Marty's father's day gift, start and finish my dads and hit up some garage sales for play clothes for Mackenzie. We're hoping to find a tricycle, wagon, bike trailer for the kids and a power wheels 4-wheeler for Cameron.
I must go. I have to pack up the kids for their sleep over.

Mackenzie's therapy
Mackenzie is only going to have therapy a couple times through the month of June. It's summer break of course.
We got some good and bad news today during her individual therapy this morning. First the bad news; Meghan, Mackenzie's speech pathologist may be moving to California. We have been very lucky to get Meghan. She's great with Mackenzie and Mackenzie just loves her so much. It will be very sad if she does end up going. The good news; Mackenzie may not need therapy once she's finished with early on around her birthday!!! She's doing so well now!
On another note, Cameron has hip displasia in his right hip. We see the specialist on the 18th of June. Hopefully that won't be really invasive. I'm hoping for no surgery.
Other than the kids news life has been as normal as usual. I've been working and I'm finally getting it all figured out.
Kids are crying. I must stop now

Mothers Day and Craziness
It has been total craziness around here. I've been so busy with the new job at the post office and all of the normal day to day lately.
I'm so glad Marty has been home to watch the kids so that I am able to go to work. Last week I worked everyday except Thursday. Monday and Tuesday I had orientation. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday I was at work at 6:30 am. I wake up at 5:10 on days I have to work. I'm not a morning person and it makes for some long days. Saturday I had to go back into work at 2:30 pm to get everything ready to be picked up. It's funny because I don't mind getting up early for work because I actually really like my job.
Sunday was Mothers day. The kiddos let me sleep in a bit. They also got me a new purse and dress for mothers day. Dad and Carol got the kids pics taken for us for mothers and fathers day but then they surprised me with a book with the kids pictures. It's absolutely beautiful.
Monday it was back to work for me. When I got home we all went outside to play. Marty was working on one of his cars, so I decided to help. I'm glad I still had my clothes on from work because I got even more dirty. I had my Mary Kay meeting last night so Marty and the kids went to his moms house. I was so tired I had a cup of coffee at 6 pm and had fallen asleep on the couch around 10.
Today both of the kids had therapy. Mackenzie did great but Cameron was not a happy camper and cried the whole time. After nap time we're planning on going to the park to play for a bit.
I have to go to work again tomorrow morning and Marty goes back tomorrow night.
Thursday we have swimming with therapy group. Both of the kids love that. We go to the Allegan high school and use their leisure pool for an hour.
Friday I'm hoping will be a relaxing day for us. So far we have no plans.
Saturday is back to work 2 times for me and Sunday is the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It's just me going this year. Usually I sign the kids up but decided not to since we have the apraxia walk next month that we're all walking.
Monday I have to work again. I won't be going to my Mary Kay meeting next week because I have a preschool readiness webinar put on by the apraxia foundation at the same time as my meeting.
Time to get the kids down for naps then going to the park!

Stuff
We've had a bit of a busy week here.
Sunday morning Mackenzie and I went to church. Cameron took his nap so he stayed in bed while Marty was home with him.
Monday we hung out at home most of the day. In the evening I had my Mary Kay meeting and Marty and the kids went to Marty's moms house for dinner.
Tuesday both of the kids had therapy. Cameron has started crawling now. We're really excited about that!
Wednesday I had my medical meeting for the post office. They took a "mug shot" and my finger prints. Hopefully I should start orientation may 7th or 8th.
Thursday Mackenzie had at home therapy. Her therapist is very proud of her. She's putting 3 words together for a sentence now!!!
Friday the kids spent the night at papa and gg's. We all had dinner together and papa and grandma were able to eat with us as well. Mackenzie warmed up to them by the end of the night.
This morning papa and grandma took Taylor and Mackenzie to McKenzie's bakery for breakfast. I was told that she had a lot of fun and was very good for them as well. Once I picked them up, we had my friends bridal shower at 1. The kids had a lot of fun and were pooped by the time we left.
Tomorrow it's back to church then dinner at Papa and Grandmas.

More Stuff
We've had Cameron's final helmet appointment! He's finally finished with it. His measurements were .5 mm different so they let me decide to continue for another month or not. I decided to stop. I figure you can't really notice .5 mm. He made such progress, his head is a much better shape now!!!
Marty is going to be in his friends wedding in December, do we had my mom watch the kids for a bit on Monday morning so we could go to his dr. appt, get his tux measurements and exchange 3 craftsman ratchets at sears that he broke.
Also, Friday I had an interview with the post office here in town. The job is different from the posting. It was supposed to be full time but is actually part time. It also said customer service window but is actually distribution. However, I needed something so I said I would do it. I got a call on Tuesday morning telling me I got the job!!! I'm pretty excited about it. I sent out my background check consent form yesterday and had my drug test today. I'm just waiting for the background check to be done and to get started. I can't wait. The time isn't exactly what I wanted (6:30-9:30 am Saturday Monday and Wednesday and 2:30-5:30 pm Saturday) but its better than nothing!
Tomorrow morning we have swimming instead of regular therapy at school. The kids love swimming so I think tomorrow will be quite nice. Lately Mackenzie has had a bit of a temper. Plus, Cameron's teething so he's been really fussy as well. Hopefully, they will not be that way tomorrow.
I now need to go to bed, I'm exhausted at this point!

Cameron Turns 1!!!
Happy birthday Cameron! Cameron turned 1 on Thursday. It wasn't the most exciting birthday but he is only 1. We woke up and had breakfast (Marty cooked Cameron his first birthday breakfast). Then we had to take Mackenzie to school. That's not the most fun way to spend your birthday. After school, the kids and I met Martys aunt at the park to play for Cameron's birthday. Once Marty woke up we had chicken, asparagus and mashed potatoes for dinner, all of which, Cameron ate. By the way, Cameron only had 3 teeth so we ate slowly introducing real food to his diet. He opened his present, Let's Rock Elmo! Really cool, this Elmo sings 6 full length songs, plays the drums and a tambourine! Finally, for dessert he had his first sweet, his own cupcake!!!
Yesterday we had his birthday party! The whole family showed up. The weather turned out to be great so we had the party outside. Everything was decorated in Sesame Street and the kids played pin the nose on Elmo! I made the game myself!!! There was only 3 kids playing so everyone won a prize. We had so much food; chicken, hot dogs and sloppy joe's. 7 layer dip and chips, a veggie platter, pasta salad, baked beans and cheesy potatoes! Plus, cake and cookies. We had a lot of help with the food. Almost every family brought something to eat. Thanks to everyone who brought food. Thanks to my dads family and Uncle Doug who let us borrow the tent, my mom, Marty's mom and Mikey for letting us use tables, finally, for everyone bringing extra chairs. Everyone seemed like they had a great time and had enough to eat. I know both of the kids had a great day. Cameron fell asleep by 7:15 while I was holding him. Mackenzie was asleep by 8:15.
