Oops!

Under the pictures of Carol, the girls and I it's supposed to say WE look beautiful, not I. And I couldn't figure out how to edit my post :)

Happy Easter!

I have always loved Easter for the actual meaning and celebrating the resurrection of Christ. This year I think it was even better because the kids are understanding the meaning as well. They even tried to get Marty to go to church yesterday to celebrate with us. It didn't work this year. We all had a great holiday anyways.

Saturday we colored Easter eggs. And the kids loved it.

Cameron didn't want to take any pictures with the eggs. We only colored a dozen because we really won't eat that many and our bunny hides plastic eggs. Or else Buddy eats the hard boiled ones :/

Amazingly I woke up before everyone so I was able to see Mackenzie's face when she walked into the living room and found her basket for the first time. I'm horrible and didn't get any pictures of their baskets.

They each got a coloring book and Easter story in their baskets. I like them to have the same basic stories so they can keep them and learn from them and possibly pass them on to their own kids. If not they're only $1.25 each so I can get more when the time comes.

Cameron also got this in his basket. The bunny is around during the passion and hides in the cave because he's scared. He's too slow to get out before the stone is rolled in the way so he's stuck in the cave with Jesus for the 3 days. It gives a reason to have an "Easter Bunny." And it's a very cute story.

After baskets, the egg hunt at home and breakfast, the kids and I went to church. It is always a good service but I really like the Easter mass. Plus, everyone is really in their new Easter clothes and almost all men are in ties. That rarely happens at our church.

We had dinner at Doug and Leslie's. Ham, cheesy potatoes, salad, quiech, baked beans, all the goodies. And Carol made some very yummy desserts!

They loved the Easter egg hunt with color coded eggs.

I look beautiful!

And a photobomb!!!

I hope you had a very happy Easter!!! And were able to spend time with The Lord and your families!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Birthday Party!!!

Saturday was Caneron's 3rd birthday! I can't believe he's 3. It boggles my mind how fast time goes when you're a mom.

We always devote the entire day tot her birthday person, before school starts because they will be going on their birthdays. So we let them decide what we do and eat.

Cameron decided he wanted donuts and chocolate milk for his birthday breakfast.
That's one huge donut and he ate it all!

Then we let him open his presents from Mommy and Daddy.
An outdoor t-ball set! He also got the Spider-Man outfit he's wearing in the party pictures.

He wanted a bowling party again. This boy loves to bowl. Unfortunately I didn't get any bowling pictures :/ And he only bowled about 5 frames. There was just too much going on for him. We ordered pizza with the party, had cake, and Cameron opened his presents.

Toy Story figures from Papa and GG, which he is constantly playing with.

Of course Aunt Ney Ney spoiled him with clothes that he didn't have any interest in opening. However, he loves wearing them.

Aunt Danielle and Drew got him his Elmo towel and 15 hot wheels cars. They're in the bag

She She (Grandma Shelly) got him his first bike!!!

Grandma Teresa got him his helmet.

Aunt Melody and Uncle Curtis got him a book and "smarty pants" preschool learning cards. We go through a few at least 3 times a day.

Cars was the theme he chose this year and he picked the design for his cake. He also decided on chocolate cake.

It really was very good cake.

And what party is complete without bumper cars for the adults!

He was pooped after his party and fell asleep on the ride home. For dinner he wanted to go out and have nachos. We decided on Texas Corral as there is something good for everyone. Cameron got the appetizer nachos and only ate about a quarter, so that came home. Mackenzie decided on kids Mac and cheese. Marty got steak fajita which looked amazing but said that it didn't taste near as good as it looked. I regretfully had a cheese burger. I say regretfully because usually they are good, but not this one. All of those calories wasted :/ And we've never had a problem with bad or slow service there, but this time it was horrible. Our waitress got frazzled and it went down hill from there. But she was very sweet and did everything She could to fix it. Oh well. Cameron liked it and was happy and that's all that matters!

Here's to another year older Bobo!!!

PS. I can't wait until he's 4. His attitude lately is horrible!
