Parties and Interviews

I'm pretty excited at the moment. Tuesday I received an email to call or send my resume about a job offer. I decided to call since the subject of the email was, I saw your resume online. So, Wednesday I called and I now have an interview! It's for an American Income Life insurance agency. But not to be an agent (thank goodness). It seems I always get things saying call and be an agent. That is not what I want at all. However, this job is to work for an agent. They have 3 openings, 1 in HR and 2 in sales. Hopefully I'll like it and they'll like me. I'm really in need a job.

We have finally made plans for Cameron's birthday party. Sunday April 15th at 4, right here at home. Really hoping the weather is nice because we have a small house. Anyways, decoration is Sesame Street!!! We ordered a sesame street cake from meijer and I will be buying the decorations there as well. I'm going to try and find a balloon bouquet of sesame street too. We're even getting him a sesame street toy. Obviously he loves sesame street at the moment. And I'm really getting into the theme! I'm even planning on making loot bags with homemade sugar cookies that show the letter of the day - C, and the number of the day - 1! I'm hoping it's going to be fun and drama free. All of these families together, who knows what will happen.

Other than that, we've had a pretty easy week. I had my mk meeting Monday, raked the leaves from last fall on Tuesday and finished on Wednesday, delivered some mk today, no plans tomorrow, a mk party on Saturday, and dinner with Marty's grandma Sunday.

Randoms

I have not had the chance to focus on just one thing lately.

Cameron has been sick for, it seems like ever. About 2 weeks, but he just got over a cold right before he got sick again. So I noticed last Tuesday, the 13th that he was getting sick again and so did his therapist. But I'm not one to run right to the dr. Since they can't do anything for a cold anyways. Thursday, his therapist, Gail, expressed that she thought he may have an ear infection. I didn't really think so, so I waited. Well, Friday he started tugging on his ear so I called and had an appointment on Saturday morning. We seen a nurse, it was Saturday and there's only 1 dr there on Saturdays, and a lot of sick kids. She checked him out, it's just a cold, she said. Ok. I didn't think so, but I'll listen to you. He got progressively worse and hardly slept. I was up 5 times throughout saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. Tuesday we seen Gail again and she expressed her opinion again. It's not just a cold. We're on the same page :) So I made another appointment for that afternoon and seen a dr. He has an ear infection in his right ear (told you so) and a virus in his chest. I knew it was more than a cold.

On top of all of that, Miss Mackenzie has an attitude. She wants to do her own thing whenever she wants to do it and throws a fit if she doesn't get to. Typical 2 year old! Thank goodness for Papa and Gege. They're having a sleep over tomorrow night. I get the night to my self! Kids gone and Marty at work!!! A movie and removing wallpaper in my plans!!! I'm so excited!!!

We're also trying to plan Cameron's birthday party. I'm thinking a bowling party at airway lanes. I just don't want to go to Chuck E Cheese again. It's too crazy there. I know he's only 1 and isn't going to remember, and everyone thinks I should just have 4 parties for him (not gonna happen) but I think he deserves it and it'll be fun for the adults too.

Plus, I'm still job hunting. I'm hoping to find something soon. I've applied for 5 jobs last night and a lot more before that. I've also put my resume on career builder and the Michigan talent bank. There's a ton of jobs out there but to get bills paid I have to have full time and at least $10 an hour. There's not a lot of those jobs. It's a lot of work. I'm still wanting to hear from the post office but it's been a whole so I don't know if they found someone or not.

So, just busy with everything lately. Have to do my job hunting for the day before the kids get up from their nap!

Loving this!

This week has been great! The weather (other than the storms) has been great. And Marty is spotting now so we get to Ser him everyday now!

Friday was the last day that Marty drove!!! He was home until 12 midnight, Thursday. He's working everyday until the 25th but we get to have dinner with him before he goes to work and for an hour in the mornings before he goes to bed. After this week of working everyday, he will have Sunday-Wednesday night off which will be great!

The kids are doing great as well! Therapy is going very well and Mackenzie is talking up a storm. Cameron is moving like crazy, not crawling or walking yet but it will be anytime! Cameron has a dr. appt tomorrow, however because I think he has an ear infection. Poor baby. We went to the park today and Mackenzie played forever. We would have stayed longer but other kids came and were being mean to her :( And their parents paid no attention to them and didn't care if they were mean to a 2 year old! Sometimes I just can't believe parents! We also went on our first walk for the year. It started to rain about 5 min after we left though. Oh well, the kids enjoyed it and it wasn't a heavy rain.

I have to take a shower to was all of this sweat off me from my workout so I'm done here :)

Busy week

It's only Wednesday night and it's already been a busy week. Monday the kids went to Marty's moms house because I had my assessment for USPS at 1:30. I thought it was quite easy. I received a score of 77 so I'm hoping I get an interview. At 6:30 Monday night I had my Mary Kay meeting. Yesterday both kids had therapy. They both did great! And I think Cameron is going to be mobile very soon :) Afterwards, I had a Dr. appt to get my thyroid levels checked. That took forever. My dr. was running 2 hrs behind. Thank goodness the kids were with Shelly. Today Cameron had his 2 appts. He had a weight check because he didn't gain weight at his 9 mo. check up. He weights almost 21 lbs! He also had his helmet appt today. He only has 2 more millimeters to go and he's only wearing his helmet when he's sleeping! He's almost done, and should be done with his helmet by his birthday! The rest of the week is a bit more calm. Tomorrow Meghan, Mackenzie's speech pathologist, is coming for the home visit for an hour. Then nothing planned! Friday is a totally free day!!! Saturday, we're meeting dad, Carol, Danielle and Taylor at Applebee's here in town for an all you can eat pancake breakfast to help raise money for the childhood apraxia of speech association of north America. After breakfast, dad and Carol are taking Cameron and we're taking all of the girls. We all have tickets to go see the circus at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids! That should be fun. Sunday the kids are hanging out with their dad because I have a Mary Kay open house! That should be a lot of fun as well!

Have a good week! I'm going to bed :)

Job search

Well, Marty has made up his mind to stop driving otr, which is great. He'll be home more and the kids will get to see him more. However, his change will cut his income in half, so I've been looking for a full time job to make up for it.

There's so many places hiring right now, but not a lot in the pay range that's needed. I've filled out 10 applications since last Thursday since he made up his mind. I've been able to apply at Borgess hospital as a lab assistant, which would be a nice job. Also, the post office in town is hiring. We're hoping I get that one. It's the closest, and best pay. I am scheduled to take the test for it on Monday. Of course, everyday I try to fill out at least one application. I've also put my resume in career builder, so hopefully I'll get something from that as well. I have until the end of April to get a job. I'm hoping it's a nice one :)
