Stuff

We've had a bit of a busy week here.

Sunday morning Mackenzie and I went to church. Cameron took his nap so he stayed in bed while Marty was home with him.

Monday we hung out at home most of the day. In the evening I had my Mary Kay meeting and Marty and the kids went to Marty's moms house for dinner.

Tuesday both of the kids had therapy. Cameron has started crawling now. We're really excited about that!

Wednesday I had my medical meeting for the post office. They took a "mug shot" and my finger prints. Hopefully I should start orientation may 7th or 8th.

Thursday Mackenzie had at home therapy. Her therapist is very proud of her. She's putting 3 words together for a sentence now!!!

Friday the kids spent the night at papa and gg's. We all had dinner together and papa and grandma were able to eat with us as well. Mackenzie warmed up to them by the end of the night.

This morning papa and grandma took Taylor and Mackenzie to McKenzie's bakery for breakfast. I was told that she had a lot of fun and was very good for them as well. Once I picked them up, we had my friends bridal shower at 1. The kids had a lot of fun and were pooped by the time we left.

Tomorrow it's back to church then dinner at Papa and Grandmas.

More Stuff

We've had Cameron's final helmet appointment! He's finally finished with it. His measurements were .5 mm different so they let me decide to continue for another month or not. I decided to stop. I figure you can't really notice .5 mm. He made such progress, his head is a much better shape now!!!

Marty is going to be in his friends wedding in December, do we had my mom watch the kids for a bit on Monday morning so we could go to his dr. appt, get his tux measurements and exchange 3 craftsman ratchets at sears that he broke.

Also, Friday I had an interview with the post office here in town. The job is different from the posting. It was supposed to be full time but is actually part time. It also said customer service window but is actually distribution. However, I needed something so I said I would do it. I got a call on Tuesday morning telling me I got the job!!! I'm pretty excited about it. I sent out my background check consent form yesterday and had my drug test today. I'm just waiting for the background check to be done and to get started. I can't wait. The time isn't exactly what I wanted (6:30-9:30 am Saturday Monday and Wednesday and 2:30-5:30 pm Saturday) but its better than nothing!

Tomorrow morning we have swimming instead of regular therapy at school. The kids love swimming so I think tomorrow will be quite nice. Lately Mackenzie has had a bit of a temper. Plus, Cameron's teething so he's been really fussy as well. Hopefully, they will not be that way tomorrow.

I now need to go to bed, I'm exhausted at this point!

Cameron Turns 1!!!

Happy birthday Cameron! Cameron turned 1 on Thursday. It wasn't the most exciting birthday but he is only 1. We woke up and had breakfast (Marty cooked Cameron his first birthday breakfast). Then we had to take Mackenzie to school. That's not the most fun way to spend your birthday. After school, the kids and I met Martys aunt at the park to play for Cameron's birthday. Once Marty woke up we had chicken, asparagus and mashed potatoes for dinner, all of which, Cameron ate. By the way, Cameron only had 3 teeth so we ate slowly introducing real food to his diet. He opened his present, Let's Rock Elmo! Really cool, this Elmo sings 6 full length songs, plays the drums and a tambourine! Finally, for dessert he had his first sweet, his own cupcake!!!

Yesterday we had his birthday party! The whole family showed up. The weather turned out to be great so we had the party outside. Everything was decorated in Sesame Street and the kids played pin the nose on Elmo! I made the game myself!!! There was only 3 kids playing so everyone won a prize. We had so much food; chicken, hot dogs and sloppy joe's. 7 layer dip and chips, a veggie platter, pasta salad, baked beans and cheesy potatoes! Plus, cake and cookies. We had a lot of help with the food. Almost every family brought something to eat. Thanks to everyone who brought food. Thanks to my dads family and Uncle Doug who let us borrow the tent, my mom, Marty's mom and Mikey for letting us use tables, finally, for everyone bringing extra chairs. Everyone seemed like they had a great time and had enough to eat. I know both of the kids had a great day. Cameron fell asleep by 7:15 while I was holding him. Mackenzie was asleep by 8:15.

Easter Fun!!!

Of course Easter was yesterday and we had a ball! A couple of 1 and 2 year old break downs but that's to be expected with no naps and a lot of stimulation.

Friday we were invited to dads for dinner and coloring Easter eggs. Mackenzie isn't totally into that yet but I still think she enjoyed herself.

Saturday we colored our eggs! She made 4 eggs this time before she was bored of it :) The Easter bunny came Saturday night and brought the kids their baskets. He let me add their rosaries to the baskets :)

Once the kids woke up, they were given their baskets. In Cameron's basket there was a book, a bunny, a hot wheels car and a bottle of gerber puffs. Mackenzie's basket contained a book, hot wheels car, a coloring book, a bunny, goldfish crackers, a little candy, a chocolate cross and gerber yogurt melts. She ate the entire bag of melts for breakfast!

After breakfast we got ready and headed to church. Marty worked Saturday night so he stayed home and slept.

We all went to Doug and Leslie's for dinner. The kids had their Easter egg hunt. Later the "big kids" had their hunt, one egg each. You got a lottery ticket except 1 person, who got $20. Marty and I both had a lottery ticket. Marty didn't win anything but I won $2! There was ham and turkey for dinner and a ton of sides, all which were delicious as usual. We had to leave early because Marty had to leave home at 2 am to go to work.

Overall, it was a very fun Easter this year!
