There hasn't been much going on here lately. Just back into our normal routine.
Mackenzie went back to therapy, Cameron is sick again, and we've had a lot of snow and really cold weather. We had so much snow on Thursday Mackenzie's play group was cancelled, but since school wasn't cancelled, her speech pathologist made a home visit to work with her. Mackenzie had a lot of fun when Megan comes over, she always brings new toys to play with. Yesterday, the kids and I went to my cousins birthday party while Marty took a car to his dads. Today, Marty is working and the 3 of us are going to Papa and Gege's for dinner, dads awesome fried chicken.
This coming week is just a normal week for us. Mary Kay meeting tomorrow, school Tuesday and Thursday and I have a Mary Kay party on Saturday in Garrett, IN. That should be fun!

Its getting round again!
We had Cameron's check up today to measure growth of his head. 1 month ago he got his helmet because of an 11 mm difference in his diagonal measurements. Today his diagonal measurements were only 5 mm different! If he continues to grow as fast as he did this past month, he could be out of his helmet 2 months early!!!
In other news, Mackenzie and Cameron have been sharing a room for almost 9 months now. This weekend Marty and I moved into the basement and moved Cameron into our room. It's been great! We don't have to worry about making sure they're quiet at nap time and night time. Mackenzie has been taking her longer naps again and hasn't been getting woke up too early in the morning. We've had fewer and fewer fits since the move too! Yay!!!
Mackenzie has school tomorrow then relaxing and finishing the rest of the small things this week.

Snow!!!
On new years day and Monday, it finally snowed. It's not the first time it snowed here this winter, but it was the first time there was enough snow for Mackenzie to play in!
Since Cameron has a cold, I put him down for his nap and I took Mackenzie out to play and shovel the driveway. It was the first time she has ever played in snow! It wasn't wet enough to make snowballs or a snowman but she was able to toss it up and watch it fall, which she loved doing!
She had a great time and I can wait to help her build her first snowman the next time!

Happy 2012!
Marty and I rang in the new year last night together, at home. The kids were in bed and we looked at old pictures and took new pictures. We had a lot of fun hanging out, just the 2 of us.
We spent a couple hours at Marty's moms for Christmas today. She made yummy meatballs for lunch, we opened gifts and watch some Lions football. We didn't stay long because we were beginning to get bad weather. When we got home, I made new potato and ham soup. It was the first time I made it and it turned out great! Now, Marty is back to work, driving, on bad roads and sometimes whiteout conditions. It's nights like this I really worry.
Since it's a new year I've made some resolutions.
1. Get healthy, which, of course, includes losing weight, but also eating a lot healthier and exercising at least 4 days per week.
2. Ask for help when I need it so I don't get burnt out.
3. Have patience!
I've really got to work on these. Wish me luck and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!
We had a great Christmas this year! We started out on December 18th and went to Marty's grandparents house. We have dinner, exchange gifts and play a family tournament with a children's game. This year it was Don't break the ice. Marty, both the kids and I almost made it to the final round! The furthest I've ever made it in the tournament! The kids had a lot of fun, there's so many kids there to play with. And Mackenzie is the middle in a group of 3 kids that are 4 mos apart in age!
Christmas eve morning my mom came by to have Christmas with us and the kids. Christmas eve we spent at my dads house. We exchanged gifts, ate some yummy food and had good conversation with everyone. It turned out that grandpa and GG seem to think mackenzie was extra good this year. She was very spoiled with all the gifts she got. Marty and I were given a date night and we can't wait to use it! All 7 of us kids (me, Courtney, Danielle, Taylor, Marty, and the kids) had a picture canvas made for Dad and Carol of all of us. I turned out great!
We woke up on Christmas morning and opened presents together. After, I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Later, we went to Doug and Leslie's house for dinner and we had a great time with everyone!
Monday, Aunt Jo got here for her Christmas visit and the kids and I went to my dads to visit.
Tuesday, we stopped by my grandmas house to see her for the holiday.
We're spending new years eve at home with the kids, just the 4 of us, 2 which will be in bed.
Sunday, we're spending the afternoon with Marty's mom for Christmas with her.
I hope you had a great holiday as well!

Camerons Helmet
Cameron's new helmet is actually quite cute, and he's doing great with it! We went to fit it and pick it up yesterday. It was trimmed so it wasn't too low on his forehead and his ear holes were made bigger. Other than that it fits quite well. It's a bit loose because of the room for head growth. We go back in a week once he settles into it to get the fit checked again.
They have him on a schedule this week to get him used to wearing it all day. Yesterday 1 hr on, 1 hr off, all day. Today 2 hrs, tomorrow 4 hrs and do on. He's not having to nap in it until tomorrow and the first day he'll wear it over night until Saturday. If he falls asleep in his helmet, that's fine. He's been sleeping in it today for 2 hours. It doesn't seem to bother him :)

Cameron Update
Cameron had his evaluation this morning for a helmet. We went in and a bunch of measurements done. They did head circumference, front to back, left to right, and diagonal from left to right then right to left. Based on the difference of the diagonal measurements was how it was decided if he needed a molding helmet or not. I was informed that the difference has to be a centimeter or more. The difference between Cameron's measurements was 11.5 mm.
Once it was determined he should have a helmet, they did scans of his head which took about 20 min. That was some cool technology by the way. Much easier than I had imagined.
The scans are now being sent to Arizona to custom make his helmet. And it won't be plain white, he's going to be a styling' little boy with a camo helmet! We go back the afternoon of the 19th to make sure the fit is right and pick it up. I'll post pictures then. I'm sure he'll be looking cool!
